Hunter Weather Forecast

Tuesday December 30

Winter has truly arrived and Hunter Mountain is open with great coverage and top-to-bottom terrain! With our recent stretch of cold snowmaking weather, our snowmaking and grooming teams have been hard at work to create the best possible experience for our guests. Join us for top-to-bottom skiing and riding.

Today we are running the Century Limited, Broadway Express, Kaatskill Flyer, Northern Express Lift, Otis Lift, F Lift, Frostyland Carpet and  the Hunter East Carpet with 48 trails open. For lift and terrain updates check the website and the My Epic app.

Today is expected to be overcast and windy, with a high of 12 and a low of 10, and possible snow showers. Early morning real feel at the Summit is around -10, so layer up! Facemasks are recommended. Hunter Mountain is currently under a wind advisory, with winds coming from the NNW at 25mph and gusts over 50mph, which could impact lift operations. Colder heading into and after New Years. We may see some brief, slight moderation in week 2 of '26, but overall cold pattern stays with us. We'll be less active into New Years week outside of upslope snows. Stronger storm signal coming Jan 4-7.

Uphill travel is permitted via Mossy Brook to Herald Square to Lower Crossover to Eastside Drive to the Summit. Uphill travel is only permitted from 5am to opening, and you must ski down the same route you came up. Remember that you do assume all risk and trails are not maintained for uphill travel. For the full uphill travel policy, visit Huntermtn.com/uphill.

We hope to see you here today for a great day of skiing and riding!
